Influencer Marketing or Creator Sponsorship?
Influencer marketing borrows an audience for a message you wrote. The creator posts what the brand needs said, in a format the brand specifies, and the value is reach against a brief.
Sponsorship backs work the creator was going to make anyway. The brand is present in something the audience already chose to watch, and the creator keeps editorial control. It reads as support rather than advertising, which is why it survives audience scepticism better - but it also means giving up message control, and it only works when the creator’s own subject genuinely sits near the brand.
Neither is better. A launch with a specific claim to land usually needs the first. Building familiarity in a community over time usually needs the second.
