- CMO / marketing leadership
At Quantize Music Entertainment, marketing was not treated as something that began after a song or music video was finished. The role extended into the creative and production process itself, from brand consistency and content quality to post-production consultation, campaign assets, paid promotion and digital distribution. The objective was to make every release not only creatively complete, but ready for the platforms, audiences and distribution environments where it would need to perform.
The challenge
A finished piece of content is not automatically a market-ready release. In entertainment, marketing often begins too late: the song is finished, the music video is completed, the final master is delivered, and only then does the question become how to promote it. The challenge at Quantize was to bring marketing considerations closer to the production process - thinking earlier about how a release would be positioned, packaged, presented, adapted for social media and distributed across digital platforms, so that music, visuals, marketing assets and distribution strategy supported one another.
Scope
Marketing leadership as CMO: strategy, brand verification, content quality control, post-production consultation, campaign assets, paid promotion and digital distribution. Not the songwriting, performance or music production.
The work
The approach
Brand consistency
Each release had its own creative identity, but it still needed to feel professionally connected to the artist, the label and the wider Quantize catalogue. Brand verification maintained consistency across release artwork, promotional communication and social assets. The objective was not to make every release look identical - it was to make sure every release looked intentional.
Content quality
Content was reviewed from the point of view of the audience and the platforms where it would appear, not only creatively. The quality of the final presentation directly affects how audiences perceive both the artist and the label, so the question was whether the content was strong enough to represent the release before it entered distribution and promotion.
Post-production consultation
Post-production decisions were considered with distribution in mind. A full music video may be the primary creative asset, but digital marketing requires far more than one final master: teasers, promotional cut-downs, thumbnails, short-form content, social assets, platform-specific versions and campaign visuals. Anticipating those needs during post-production created more flexibility once the release entered its marketing phase.
Social & campaign assets
Social and promotional materials were developed around the release rather than treated as isolated posts, covering both organic activity and paid campaigns. The objective was a recognisable communication system around the music and video, adapted for different digital environments.
Distribution
Marketing and distribution were treated as connected parts of the same release process, supporting release communication and preparing content for the channels where audiences were most likely to discover it. Rather than thinking only about the finished music video, the wider ecosystem was considered: content, packaging, promotion, distribution, audience.
Result
Ki Manush Banaila Bhobe - 10M+ YouTube views
The 10M+ view figure represents the public performance of the release as a whole. It is not presented as a claim that marketing activity alone generated more than 10 million views. The result belongs to the combined strength of the music, artists, production, creative execution, audience response, distribution and promotional activity surrounding the release. Marketing leadership, packaging, campaign activity and distribution supported the release; they should not be interpreted as the sole cause of its performance.
Marketing should not begin when production ends. Decisions made during production directly affect how effectively content can later be packaged, adapted, distributed and promoted. Create for the work itself - and for the environments where people will discover it.
